C&B Accounting Operations Manager
About the position:
This position is responsible for accounting operations for JTI Services Switzerland SA (the Global Employment Company for all international assignees) and JTI SA in Geneva (headquarters). It ensures accurate recognition and payment of Compensation & Benefits services costs, as well as booking costs for financial reporting. The role involves collaborating with suppliers and the Corporate C&B Finance Team, handling purchase requisitions, invoice processing, cost allocation, and reclassification. It contributes to maintaining solid financial reporting and ensuring compliance with IFRS, Swiss GAAP, JTI accounting policies, and the JSOX framework..
Main areas of responsibility:
- Manage administration and accounting processes related to purchase requests for JTI Services Switzerland SA and JT International SA (JTI HQ) in the area of compensation and benefits. This includes purchasing services from global tax consultants and relocation providers for assignees based in Geneva. Ensure timely handling of purchase requests and optimal procurement. Create and submit purchase requests in myShop/SAP, communicate purchase orders to vendors, manage and book goods receipts, process invoices, and ensure accurate cost allocation and timely payment. Request vendors to submit invoices to the AP Team at GBS for payment, and manually submit invoices via AP01 when necessary. Reconcile goods receipts with booked invoices monthly, analyze variances, and adjust as needed. Maintain purchase request files for PO modifications.
- Prepare monthly bank payment orders for international benefits in collaboration with the Global Rewards/Benefits Team via JTI Services SA banks. Submit files for review and approval, including detailed transaction information. Handle ad-hoc payment requests, such as payments to tax authorities from our Global Tax consultants. Manage cost allocation after central goods receipts, report to markets, and track costs as needed. Perform miscellaneous reclassifications involving Deloitte, E&Y, and others.
- Provide support in the management of salary interfaces from the Apro system for all assignees and the Trianon system for local employees in Geneva, including salaries, incentives, benefits, and personal taxes, with specific processes for assignees in Iran and Sudan. Handle cash management and bank reconciliation.
- Provide support to line manager and other team members upon request on day-to-day activities, administraton and projects for continuous improvement in C&B Operations processes & systems
- Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience in accounting.
- 2-3 years work experience in a Finance Function of a multinational company. Good experience with SAP Finance and strong Excel skills are required.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Accuracy, good accounting knowledge, analytical skills and technical knowledge/strong interest in IT systems. Ease with large volume of data and tasks to manage with tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities. Proactive and autonomous, yet team-oriented. Must adhere to highest confidentiality standards.
