Tax Specialist (customs) m/f/d
Location: Stary Gostków or Warsaw
Fixed-term contract (8 months)
Position:
- Supporting the customs compliance process performed by operational teams in the factory
- Maintaining the customs processes up-to-date and in compliance with the binding regulations, adjusting the relevant procedures / instructions
- Providing ongoing customs consultations and advice to in-house operational teams
- Monitoring of changes in customs or other relevant law, ongoing analysis of the effects of changes on tax and business processes, preparing relevant communication
- On-going contacts and relations with customs agencies
- Classification of components and products from the customs perspective (CN / HS codes), keeping up to date the classification base
- Cooperation with tax and customs authorities in the scope of inspections, conducted proceedings and functioning of the tax / customs warehouse
- Drafting appeals to customs authorities and applications for binding tariff information
- Reviewing source documents (i.e. contracts, invoices, accounting journals, and other documents - if needed) in order to ensure tax compliance
- Doing tax analysis and research
- Support in automation and improvements of tax processes taking into consideration new tax regulations and changes
Requirements:
- University Degree in Finance or Tax, customs specialization would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax / customs compliance
- Knowledge of Polish tax law, especially in customs
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Solid and practical knowledge of SAP system - would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of English (at least level B1, B2)
- Process orientation and attention to details
- Ability to work in a team (team player mindset)
- Ability to work with deadlines, under some level of stress and time pressure
- High ability to organize and prioritize own work
