 GSC Global Health and Safety Manager (m/f/d)

Position:

As GSC Global Health and Safety Manager (m/f/d) you will:

  • Develop and implement the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Health & Safety capability building strategy, including training and qualification plans aligned with ASP26-28
  • Design and deploy KPIs and measurement systems to monitor H&S capability levels and drive continuous improvement
  • Build organizational and individual H&S competencies across regions, ensuring qualification of EHS leads and DMSO teams
  • Manage the global H&S training matrix by job, function, and region, and deliver programs from operator to leadership level
  • Simplify and localize global EHS standards, procedures, and tools, prioritizing critical areas such as risk assessments, machine safety and contractor safety
  • Lead regular compliance assessments and peer reviews across GSC sites, ensuring adherence to local regulations and corporate standards
  • Drive global ISO certification programs (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) and foster a continuous improvement mindset
  • Collaborate with engineering and external partners to enhance machine safety design and operating standards

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in EHS, Safety Management, Engineering or comparable education
  • 10+ years of experience in EHS, expertise in Manufacturing excellence systems, such as IWS (Integrated Work Systems), is a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, risk management, and ISO systems
  • Proven experience in machine safety design standards and operating procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence across global teams
  • Expertise in H&S behavioral and cultural systems, as well as strong technical training capabilities
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
