Payment Specialist (m/f/d)
About the position:
Payments Specialist is a key contributor to an overall operations efficiency of Commercial Payments team and its high standards. The objective of the role is to provide high quality of services to markets by: timely processing of high volumes of automated and manual payments, query resolution, keeping high accuracy according to the existing Policies and Procedures. Providing support to other team members within and outside of the team. Supporting analysis of reporting data related to scope of responsibilities. Identifying process gaps. Participating in transitions, testing, and improvement initiatives. Awareness of internal controls, JSOX requirements, and P2P cooperation practices is essential.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Accurately process high volume of transactions within variety of platforms/operational systems in line with existing Company Policies and Procedures; meet KPIs and other targets
- Query Support/Issue Resolution: analytically review and respond to requests in a timely, professional, and efficient manner; identify potential escalation risk and flag it via proper channels; identify system- and process-related issues and escalate accordingly
- Organize own workload to meet daily targets
- Compliance: responsible and accountable for JSOX and other controls in Payments, aware of segregation of duties, audit requirements and internal control standards
- Team Engagement: active participation in team meetings/huddles; support onboarding of newcomers; understand and follow of P2P cross-team cooperation best practices
- Reporting: Analyze reporting data related to scope of responsibilities
- Identify process gaps and propose improvements
- Support transitions and other projects; perform testing
- Manage various tasks, projects, and trainings as they arise and upon manager’s request
Requirements:
- Ongoing or complete University Degree (a Plus if in Accounting/Finance area)
- 1+ year in P2P department (experience in Payments is preferred)
- English (B2+)
- Microsoft Office good working knowledge
- General understanding of E2E P2P process
- ERP system working knowledge (preferance in SAP)
- Working knowledge of banking platform and payments environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in dynamic and fast changing environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and against challenging deadlines
- Ability to absorb knowledge quickly (fast learner)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Ability to identify and raise potential risks
- Team oriented
- Comfortable working in a multinational cross functional setup
- Readiness to work with repetitive tasks
- Operational training of newcomers in your area of responsibilities
