Operations Engineer

(m/f/d)

 

Networks & Communications Operations Engineer, primarily is accountable for ensuring maximum service availability and health of network services including Wide Area Network, Local Area Network, Internet and Security, Remote Access, Managed Application Delivery Controller, Unified Communications, Call Centres and Video Conferencing.

You will be responsible for managing incidents, problems, crisis in close collaboration with service providers' operations teams, ensuring proper operational readiness of the new services delivered into production or changes deployed, SLA compliance and reporting.

 

This function is strategic with a scope encompassing the global network and communications infrastructure.

 

 

Position:

 

Incident Management and Support:

 

Ensure that all network services are up and running, incidents are reported to service providers on timely manner with right priority and resolved within committed Service Level Objective or being escalated properly for resolution within the different layers of escalation process.

 

Crisis Management:

 

Manage / Coordinate the whole troubleshooting process within crisis situations to get issues resolved on timely manner and minimize the business impacts. Ensure awareness of IT senior management and provide frequent reporting.

 

Change Management and Operational Readiness: 

 

Evaluate the operational compliance and eventually accept / reject readiness and availability of all new services delivered or changes implemented in production before service readiness announcement.

 

SLA Management:

 

Ensure SLA compliance of all service providers. Review, evaluate Provider's SLA reports and take required improvement actions. Provide input to the Operations Team manager for regular internal SLA reporting.

 

Capacity Management:

 

Monitor performance of all services and make recommendations to the Service Delivery Team for further review and recommendations to the customers.

 

Requirements:

 

  • University degree in Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience in Information Technology.
  • Experienced in collaboration with and management of service providers.
  • Project and program management.
  • Proven experience in operating enterprise-wide solutions in Telecom environment in the areas of Data, Voice and Video Networks, Remote Access, IP Telephony, Call Centres, Intranet / Internet and related security services.
  • Strong IT Telecommunications background. Managing IT outsourcing service provider or solution vendors. Solid communication and project management skills. Ability to work in multicultural environment. Proficiency in IT Service Management processes and best practices (ITIL, ITSM, SLAs).
  • Certification nice to have:
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional - CCNP or above.
  • Fortinet Network Security Expert - NSE4+.
  • Specific work experience with Cisco (IOS), FortiGate, F5 Big IP, Catalyst Center, Meraki, Splunk and Ivanti Pulse Secure is a plus.
  • Fluent English.
