Lease Accounting Specialist (m/f/d)

Position

As a Lease Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of end-to-end lease accounting processes in line with IFRS 16 and JSOX requirements. The role supports governance, controls, reconciliations, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Lease Accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely execution of end-to-end lease accounting processes, including initial recognition, modifications, terminations, and monthly postings in line with IFRS 16 and JSOX requirements.
• Support the Team Lead and Experts in governance of processes and controls to maintain a strong control environment and compliance with internal policies.
• Support Experts in complex and non-standard activities, including audit queries, ad hoc projects, system testing, and implementation of new lease accounting functionalities.
• Perform reconciliations and reporting for lease-related accounts, ensuring accuracy of lease liabilities and right-of-use assets and proper audit documentation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and support automation within lease accounting operations.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a multinational environment, preferably within a Shared Service Centre.
• Experience or exposure to lease accounting or fixed assets is an advantage.
• Familiarity with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong command of English (oral and written).
• SAP proficiency; experience with SAP S/4HANA and Lease Accounting (SAP CLM) is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
