Business Process Manager - Global Governance (m/f/d)
fixed-term contract (18 months)
Join our Global Corporate Controlling team and play a key role in shaping strategic business decisions across JTI. As the owner of the Global Business Approval Process, you will work closely with senior stakeholders worldwide, ensuring effective governance, robust business case evaluation, and seamless decision-making at Executive Committee level. This is a unique opportunity to combine finance, business analysis, governance, and process excellence within a truly global environment.
This role is offered as an 18-month contract, providing exposure to high-impact global initiatives, senior leadership, and complex business challenges across multiple markets. For the right candidate, this position may also offer the opportunity to transition into a permanent role, subject to business needs and individual performance.
What You Will Do:
- Act as the global owner of JTI's Business Approval Process (BAP), ensuring efficient and compliant decision-making across the organization.
- Partner with markets and global functions to support strategic investment and business initiatives requiring Executive Committee approval.
- Review and challenge business proposals, assessing financial rationale, governance requirements, risk implications, and overall business value.
- Provide expert guidance on Global Tobacco Operating Guidelines, Corporate Policies, and approval requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of governance frameworks, approval workflows, and decision-making processes.
- Lead enhancements of the business approval platform, collaborating with system owners, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver training programs to strengthen governance awareness and business process knowledge across the organization.
- Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to support senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and optimize global approval processes and governance mechanisms.
- Monitor organizational changes and recommend updates to approval authorities and governance structures.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Finance, Controlling, Business Analysis, Consulting, Process Excellence, Governance, Audit, or related business functions.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as NPV, investment appraisal, CAPEX/OPEX, profitability analysis, and business case development.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business situations and provide practical, value-adding recommendations.
- Experience working with global processes, governance frameworks, policies, or business transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence interacting with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear business insights.
- Strong project and process management capabilities, including driving improvements and managing multiple priorities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with workflow management systems, approval platforms, or business process tools is considered an advantage.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
