Corporate Tax Accounting Manager (m/f/d)
Purpose:
Join Corporate Accounting (CA) team delivering consolidated IFRS financial reporting for the global JTI Group. As the Corporate Tax Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely tax accounting aligned with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), supporting both JTI and its parent company.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for career development within Corporate Accounting and across the wider Finance function, through engagement with complex tax accounting matters and collaboration with international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
PERFORM THE EFFECTIVE TAX RATE REPORTING PROCESS
- Perform the Group ETR process (and ETR variance explanations) for actuals and planning cycles
- Prepare tax accounting entries (current and deferred tax) and supporting analyses
- Act as the main contact for external auditors on tax matters
- Prepare management reporting and explain key movements
LEAD THE IFRS PILLAR 2 ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING
- Own IFRS accounting and reporting for Pillar 2
- Review Pillar 2 calculations and documentation prepared by Global Tax
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure correct IFRS treatment
- Act as the main accounting contact for external advisors
MANAGE JSOX COMPLIANCE FOR TAX
- Coordinate and perform assigned J-SOX tax controls accurately and on time
OTHER AD-HOC PROJECTS
- Prepare IFRS position papers (IAS 12 and other topics)
- Support the Corporate Accounting team on technical and cross-functional projects
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with a Big Four or comparable accounting firm
- Solid knowledge of IFRS standards. Specific experience in tax accounting and financial consolidation is highly regarded
- Fluent English communication abilities, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical aptitude with attention to detail in complex tax calculations and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in SAP or similar ERP systems considered a distinct advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and communicate across diverse teams
