Corporate Consolidation Analyst (m/f/d)

 

About the position: 

The Corporate Consolidation Analyst supports the timely and accurate preparation of the Global Tobacco financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards. As part of the Corporate Accounting Consolidation team, the role contributes to the monthly financial consolidation process, performs predefined quality checks on information submitted by local subsidiaries and supports improvements to consolidation processes and internal controls. The position helps ensure that complete, accurate and high-quality financial information is available for Group-level decision-making.

 

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Perform assigned monthly consolidation activities using the SAP Group Reporting system, including journal processing, data checks and financial analyses
  • Work with the Corporate Consolidation Lead Manager to resolve month-end consolidation issues within the required timelines
  • Prepare data-quality reports and identify issues that require resolution or communication to responsible colleagues and cross-functional teams
  • Validate exceptions identified through data-quality checks and ensure deviations are justified and appropriately addressed
  • Support the preparation of quarterly reporting packs, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and consistency of financial information
  • Execute and document delegated internal controls affecting the consolidation process
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including the resolution of issues related to quarterly consolidation and reporting packs
  • Participate in projects and ad hoc activities assigned by the wider Corporate Accounting team

 

Requirements: 

  • University degree in Finance
  • At least three years of experience in an accounting function
  • Experience in a consolidation department or a large accounting firm is preferable
  • Chartered or certified accountant qualification is an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Experience using a financial consolidation system, preferably SAP Group Reporting or a similar system
  • Financial accounting experience, preferably including knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with other functions and internal or external resources
