Engineering Manager

 

 

What will you do - Responsibilities:

 

Key Role: 

  • Lead & coordinate the Engineering Department (including Building & Utilities and Environment, Health & Safety) to achieve factory and department commitments
  • Responsible for CapEx Projects, Production & Engineering Support, Waste handling, HVAC, Buildings, Compressors, Water systems, Steam systems, Hydro Power, Electrical Networks, Sprinkler System, Site services, Environment, Health & Safety
  • Act as a management representative and represent the company professionally at all times to the business community and customers
  • Ensure compliance with Legal Requirements, JTI Corporate Standards, Management systems, Global and Local Policies and Procedures, Improvement Programs, JT Contamination Prevention Program, Code of Conduct and 5S3R

 

Annual Strategic Plan (ASP) preparation & Management of KPI’s:

  • Perform planning of solid long-term engineering solutions based on feasibility engineering studies and give support to other functions with correct information for the managers to fulfill their responsibilities in the Annual & Strategic Planning process: CapEx projects, BAP/Memo preparation, OpEx planning, Capacity, Yield, Performance, HC, Training, Environment, Health & Safety 
  • Deliver Engineering & EHS objectives and improvements as per target, through proper planning, implementation and analyzing of actuals, following up improvement actions and continuous communication via visual management tools
  • Follow up performance and provide reports to Management and rapid feedback to the shop floor

 

Setting up department & Development of People: 

  • Provide supervision, guidance and direction to department members and responsible for all communications provided to the department
  • Manage the development plan by identifying individual training needs for the team, conduct staff appraisals, talent reviews and performance-related activities, and ensure all work is conducted in a safe manner according to Global and Local standards, policies, procedures and requirements
  • Responsible for the recruitment of new employees

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements:

 

  • University Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Engineering or production experience in the tobacco industry or Food industry
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), knowledge of Swedish is an advantage
  • Experience in Swedish Labor Law & Work Environment is an advantage 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferable experience in MS Projects and CAD-editors
  • Project management skills
  • Integrated work systems experience or TPM experience
