Area Sales Manager Baltics & Belarus TR

 

What this position is about – Purpose

 

You are responsible for implementing trade marketing activities set by JTI for the assigned territory, including communication with the field force where applicable. You establish close business relationships with trade partners and actively contribute to the execution of consumer and trade marketing programs. You work closely with all functions within the regional Marketing & Sales (M&S) teams to ensure effective program implementation, monitor KPIs, and track competitive activity. You contribute to and implement key account plans and agreements, ensuring compliance with account requirements. You will report findings and updates to the Regional Sales Manager and relevant Marketing & Sales teams.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for effective implementation of trade marketing strategies and through-the-line marketing strategies including merchandising, shelf-space, and promotional programs as defined by the central and regional M&S team. Monitors implementation progress, as well as the quality of materials used and recommends corrective action where necessary.
  • Responsible for field intelligence and data gathering through sales force automation tool provided.
  • Responsible for planning input, executional KPI monitoring and reporting results to the Regional Sales Manager, including, but not exclusive, volume, pricing, stock management and brand listings.
  • Responsible for direct and indirect customers' interface and trade relationship management.
  • Responsible for the rolling forecast, LE, AP and SP input and plans for the assigned territory. Responsible for the market/area budget planning and budget utilization in an effective and compliant manner.
  • In conjunction with appropriate function in JTI initiate / terminate 3rd party relationships (contracts) regarding in-store promotional and advertising activities, under the supervision / approval process of JTI SA.

 

Whom are we looking for – Requirements:

 

  • University degree or equivalent is preferable.
  • 5 years’ experience in sales / distribution / channel management / field trade marketing. Experience in consumer / trade promotions management.
  • Fluent English and Russian (required), Lithuanian a plus
  • Experience in travel retail and airport sales is preferred.
  • Leadership & People Management: Coaching, team & field force management, decision-making, interpersonal and time management.
  • Commercial & Customer Focus: Customer service, key accounts, distributor management, trade marketing, POS activation, shelf/category management, pricing & margins.
  • Analytical & Planning: Territory planning, trade research & segmentation, KPI monitoring, forecasting, financial analysis, problem solving.
  • Operations & Execution: Logistics, order management, merchandising, project/process management, field intelligence.
  • External Knowledge & Negotiation: Taxation, trade pricing, corporate affairs, legal, negotiation, stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literate, proficient in planning and reporting tools.
