Engineering Project Lead

 

As an Engineering Project Lead, you will coordinate and deliver factory projects to support operational commitments through effective leadership and coaching. You will manage factory CapEx implementation, including BAP/Memo processes and supplier coordination, lead production improvement initiatives and new process implementation, and identify and deliver technical training within the Production Department. You will work closely with Production, Factory Quality, and Product Development teams on technical projects.

 

Position:

 

As the Engineering Project Lead, you will: 

 

  • Lead and coordinate factory projects to achieve business objectives across Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost, ensuring long‑term, feasible engineering solutions and full compliance with local legislation and JTI regulations

  • Manage factory CapEx implementation, including BAP/MEMO preparation

  • Oversee project scope, timelines, and risk management to drive operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with local and global stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and authorities as required

  • Ensure strict adherence to EHS, 5S, and JTI corporate standards, promoting best practices to prevent incidents and occupational risks

  • Support additional projects and ad‑hoc tasks as needed, demonstrating a proactive and customer‑focused mindset.

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Degree in engineering and/or project management
  • 3-5 years’ work experience at leading projects for factory or site operations involving machines, CE certifications, buildings & utilities etc.
  • Excellent English and Swedish written and spoken
  • Knowledge in project management softwares, methods and tools together with MS office and Power BI package
  • Working knowledge of CAD
  • Skilled in SAP and purchasing management tools.
  • Good overview over legal requirements of factory project management
