Cell Lead

 

We are looking for a Cell Lead to take charge of driving performance and innovation in one of our production Cells! In this role, you’ll ensure optimal use of resources and deliver top-quality products while leading operations based on IWS principles within Continuous Improvement. You’ll spearhead improvement projects across shifts, guarantee that equipment runs smoothly under the right hands, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping. Beyond managing day-to-day operations, you’ll plan resources strategically and empower your team through development and engagement—making a real impact on our business success.

 

Position:

 

As the Cell Lead, you will: 

 

  • Ensure 24-hour, multiple shift accountability for results understood as safety, quality, reliability, production attainment, productivity and costs for assigned Cell
  • Act as owner of line DDS (Daily Directions Setting), responsible for DDS findings follow-up and ensuring their execution, and regular analysis of the KPIs and definition/implementation of suitable improvement measures
  • Establish short-term (24h) to mid-term priorities for his Cell (<90 days plans)
  • Define priorities for the cell team and allocate resources to support the plan, and participate in key planned activities
  • Share responsibility for the staffing in production, and  make adjustments based on production volumes if needed
  • Manage, develop and motivate the staff in the team by: defining clear objectives, monitoring the results and confirming both individual and group performance
  • Assess and determine development and training needs of line teams, including future aspirations and succession planning, as well as recruitment and introduction of new employees
  • Be responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the effectiveness of assigned Daily Management Systems
  • Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent
  • Be responsible for maintaining the work environment and safety rules and procedures by following global JTI standards and Swedish Legislation
  • Achieve and maintain a safe work environment and ensure that workers who are under his / her supervision work safely
  • Follow up on reported incidents and ensure risk assessments in the area are valid
  • Follow up on all unplanned absences for the personnel on the shift, and ensure the rehabilitation process is followed according to the applicable Work Environment handbook

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Degree in Production Management or Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in production and with a managerial/supervisor function
  • Experience in Swedish Labour Law & Work Environment
  • Knowledge of production technologies, project management, standards of factory improvement programs (KAIZEN, TPM, SMED, 5+S)
