Regional Area Manager
The employee in this position bears indirect responsibility for achieving the planned sales volumes of the Employer’s products through the proper execution of their duties related to managing subordinate employees of the Sales and Distribution Department within a designated geographical area of responsibility. This responsibility is also exercised through effective collaboration with the distributor company responsible for direct sales. In addition, the employee is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of marketing and merchandising programs at retail outlets within the Area of Responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Execution: Develop and manage annual, quarterly, and weekly sales plans. Set clear targets and priorities for the team to drive product distribution and sales growth.
- Team Management: Lead, coach, and support Sales Representatives through regular meetings, field visits, and performance feedback. Ensure high-quality execution and continuous development.
- Sales & Distribution: Build strong relationships with retail partners and distributors. Negotiate product placement, ensure full assortment availability, and maintain high distribution standards.
- Trade Programs & Merchandising: Implement and monitor trade programs, ensure compliance, and oversee proper placement of marketing materials and equipment in line with company standards.
- Market & Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance, distribution, and competitor activities. Analyze data and adjust plans to improve results.
- Reporting & Systems: Ensure accurate and timely reporting in internal systems (e.g., sales, distribution, merchandising). Provide weekly and monthly updates to management.
- Training & Development: Support onboarding, coaching, and continuous development of team members to build strong capabilities and performance.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of the tobacco market and FMCG sales/marketing principles
- Proven analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Results-driven mindset with strong self-motivation and adaptability
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team effectively
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Open to sharing ideas and best practices in a collaborative environment
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Category B driving license with minimum 1 year driving experience
