Legal Manager
An employee in this position provides proactive legal support and facilitation to JTI Mongolia LLC (the “Company” or “Employer”) in achieving the Company’s goals by generating and proposing legal solutions, as well as protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the Company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive legal advice and compliant solutions to support business objectives and mitigate legal risks across the Mongolian market.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents related to the Company’s activities.
- Collaborate with the Cluster Legal team to ensure full legal support, engage external counsel when required and manage external legal spend in coordination with the Cluster Legal Director.
- Manage legal documentation processes, including document registration, record keeping, verification and secure storage of Legal Department records.
- Represent and protect the Company’s interests before stakeholders, authorities, courts and counterparties.
Requirements:
- Law University degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position within an international company.
- Fluent in oral and written Mongolian and English. Russian language is a plus.
- Knowledge of Mongolian legislation.
- Confident user of MS Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel) and Legislation database.
- Good communication skills.
