In the Global Logistics Department based in Trier is a temporary open position as Specialist Global Logistics Network (m/f/d) for 18 months to fill as of August 1, 2019.

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain and document logistics set-ups and procedures for finished goods, tobaccos, semi-finished goods, non-tobacco materials, Reduced Risk Products (RRP), and machinery in close cooperation with Corporate Security, Insurance & Risk, Research & Development, Global Engineering, Global Supply Chain-Functions and Service Providers
  • Analyze the global logistics network and the freight markets to propose optimization strategies
  • Consolidate logistics requirements for finished goods, tobaccos, semi-finished goods, non-tobacco materials, RRP and machinery as a basis for the tendering processes for all ways of transportation and calculate freight budgets as well as project costs
  • Set-up, monitor and report logistics KPI’s as appropriate
  • Participate in meetings with JTI’s main service providers
  • Support the direct manager in logistics projects and assignment of special projects

 
Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Business Administration or Transport Management or equivalent education with focus on logistics or a successfully finished commercial education with several years of working experience
  • Profound working experience in logistics in an international environment
  • Experience in working with databases is preferred

  • High level of reliability, cooperation, flexibility and team work ability
  • Strong quality commitment and business thinking
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Very good knowledge of the most common PC software applications, especially MS Excel, Access and SAP R3 / SAP TM
