In order to strengthen our Quality Assurance (QA) department based in Trier, we are looking a Quality Assurance Manager for Standards & Programs (m/f/d) as soon as possible.


The Quality Assurance (QA) mission is to ensure highest quality and product integrity through effective and efficient Quality Assurance programs and providing most reliable and flexible services. The department is involved in the product development, the manufacturing operations as well as In-Market activities of JTI products, performing relevant analysis to evaluate materials & finished good quality. Furthermore, QA provides clear recommendations for quality improvement activities related to product development and global supply chain operations.



Your responsibilities:

  • Lead development of assigned JTI Quality Management System (QMS) policies & procedures relevant for entire product portfolio including alignment with relevant stakeholders
  • Lead development of assigned JT Group product quality standards & manufacturing quality standards including alignment with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure implementation of assigned QMS policies & procedures as well as QA standards and programs in relevant manufacturing locations within JTI and/or contract manufacturing locations to assure regulatory compliance and fulfilment of JTI quality requirements
  • Ensure evaluation of QA testing data and proactively provide recommendations for continuous improvement of QA standards & programs to Global Supply Chain (GSC) operations and/or to relevant R&D functions as a basis for further product/specification improvement activities


Your profile:

  • University degree of science (preferable food technology or electrical/process engineering) or comparable education
  • At least 5 years practical experience – ideally in tobacco business – in Quality, R&D and/or Manufacturing
  • Experience in the development of a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant Quality Management System or more than 3 year practical experience working in a GMP regulated environment
  • Experience of a M&A integration is considered as an advantage
  • Profound understanding of product design and manufacturing processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical tools
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
  • Ability to work effectively in a diversified team and in an international environment
  • Good analytical capabilities, show initiative and take responsibility
  • Sound communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in English both written and spoken; other languages are of advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of standard office applications
