In the R&D Quality Assurance Department based in Trier is an open position as Quality Assurance Product Quality & Compliance Manager (m/f/d) to fill.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead root cause investigations, stock management and subsequent improvement activities (CAPA) for identified material & product non-conformities with relevant JTG stakeholders (R&D, Global Supply Chain, Markets). Initiate revision of relevant standards & programs based on observed findings in close cooperation with QA Product Quality & Compliance members
  • Lead decision making process for identified JTI material & product non-conformities (comprising of conventional tobacco products and reduced-risk products) and provide recommendation within JTG (R&D, Global Supply Chain, Markets, Scientific Regular Affairs, Legal, Quality Assurance) and contract manufactures about further proceeding. Ensure proper reporting and information sharing about identified issues within the JTI organization
  • Perform regular trend analysis to identify at an early stage developments with regards to material & product performance. Lead follow-up with relevant stakeholders within JTG.
  • Lead the QA certification/registration program in close cooperation with Scientific Regulatory Affairs to ensure provision of required testing samples to QA laboratory testing & certification preparation


Your Profile:

  • University degree of science (preferably electrical/process engineering or comparable studies)
  • 5 years practical experience within Quality, R&D or Manufacturing operations (ideally in tobacco business) having profound understanding of quality activities, product design and manufacturing operations
  • Experience in working in a regulated environment (Good Manufacturing Practice, FDA)
  • Sovereignty in negotiations with internal and external partners
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages are considered as an advantage
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and understanding to make appropriate and timely risk-based decision
  • Integrative personality with distinctive ability to communicate cross-functional in an international environment and to work in a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk assessment, CAPA and deviation processes
  • Flexibility, reliability and confidentiality
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data analysis techniques & statistics
  • Excellent PC skills (MS Office family) including experience in SAP R/3
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
