Title:  VAT Specialist

What Will You Do:

• Review VAT transactions to ensure VAT transactional compliances are met.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns.
• Collaborate with Finance Control Group and Accounts Payable team to ensure timely input of VAT recording.
• Ensure reasonable VAT & Excise are paid as pre-payment.
• Reconcile all types of stocks of VAT books with SAP.
• Maintain VAT MIS and act as a change agent for VAT software.
• Reconcile VAT transactions between SAP and VAT software.
• Prepare VAT communications to be sent to the VAT authority.
• Prepare and collate summaries, documents, and records for VAT assessments.
• Assist the Indirect Tax Manager with VAT and tax projects and improvements.
• Develop functional VAT awareness among internal stakeholders.
• Develop VAT operational awareness for vendors to achieve VAT compliances.

We Expect from You:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, with a preference for Finance/Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience related to VAT, with experience in the tobacco industry being highly preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel.
• In-depth understanding of Tax Act and VAT Act.
• Knowledge of IFRS and VAT Statutory Records is preferred.
