TOBACCO QUALITY ASSOCIATE

For the new tobacco factory in TETOUAN, we are seeking Quality Associate to monitor production processes, conduct quality inspections, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and JTI standards. This position is based on-site.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Quality Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of processes and final products through regular inspections, adhering to the Quality Inspection Plan. You will monitor and check compliance against product specifications, taking necessary corrective actions when requirements are not met.

 

You will maintain accurate quality inspection data by registering daily test results in the quality database or on hard-copy records as required. This includes calculating daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual averages for test results and preparing and submitting summary reports to your immediate supervisor.

 

You will inspect material handling and process flows, ensuring all operations follow established procedures. This also includes overseeing brand changeover procedures and demonstrating a strong commitment to health and safety standards.

 

You will participate in KPI calculations, organize summarized data, and support root cause identification for corrective actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing QUIP (Quality Unsure Inspected Products) by holding, segregating, labeling, and inspecting products identified during inspections, as per the established guidelines. You will also help identify the root cause and propose possible solutions for any issues.

 

You will ensure the proper use and handling of quality measuring instruments (QME), ensuring that equipment is safely utilized and the working area remains clean and organized. Your role will also involve actively participating in system upgrades, ensuring effective implementation, and coaching shop floor operators in adapting to new systems.

 

Additionally, you will support pest control activities, particularly in managing tobacco beetle, and participate in the implementation of 5S and 3R initiatives to standardize quality laboratories.

 

EDUCATION

University degree in Chemistry or similar.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

2-3 years of work experience in a Manufacturing environment.

 

 

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in English, French, and Arabic (written and verbal communication)
  • Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of internal regulatory compliance and procedures
  • Expertise in safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Solid laboratory skills with experience in quality control processes
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data interpretation principles
