Position Purpose

 JTI USA is currently seeking an Legal Assistant to join our organization. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Legal Department; including but not limited to clerical support; filing and preparing reports and other legal documents; and perform additional duties or special projects as necessary.

 

This position is located in our Teaneck, NJ Office.

 

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Provide administrative legal support for the legal department (phone, mailing, filing, etc.)
  • Facilitate the execution of documents (coordinate signatures, follow up on requested attachments, compile applications, etc.)
  • Proofread documents with detail and accuracy (applications, correspondence, etc.)
  • Follow up on licenses and certifications with state authorities
  • Draft and prepare correspondence to colleagues and/or governing agencies
  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Associate Degree

2-4 years of administrative experience, preferably as a paralegal

Fluent in English

Organizational, follow up, project management.  Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite
