Position Purpose

JTI USA is presently seeking a Compensation & Benefits Manager to contribute to the People & Culture development by implementing a comprehensive pay and benefits strategy ensuring compliance with local legislation, market practice and company's guidelines; ensure quality of personnel records, employee relations and payroll as well as associated reporting.

 

This position is located in our head office in Teaneck, NJ Office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop compensation strategy and programs. Manage Annual Salary Review process including local & corporate incentive plans.
  • Design, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are in line with market practices, competitive and in compliance with statutory requirements. Administrate and manage 401K plan for employees including ex-employees. Partner with insurance providers and broker company to ensure best services and fees for employees.
  • Responsible for approving consolidated semi-monthly payroll for all employees across the country on time and ensure accurate cost allocations. Managing SAP HR and payroll systems.
  • Manage organizations International expat population in line with local requirements and Global Mobility policies.
  • Budget Company’s Labor Cost plan in cooperation with Finance to establish manpower planning guideless. Provide cost analysis and wages information as required.
  • Develop, recommend and administer approved policies and procedures in human resources, employee relations and related issues that are consistent with strategic plans and objectives.
  • Ensure all statutory required reporting is accurate and timely filed as well as internal JTI reporting.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (PHR / SPHR certification preferred)       
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits / Payroll. Knowledge of the US payroll and taxation system.
  • Experience in other HR fields a plus

Skills, Competencies & Languages

Fluency in English, with excellent written and oral skills. Excellent computer skills with proven proficiency in MS office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  HR SAP experience would be preferred.
