Position Purpose

Reporting directly to the Communications Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving the objectives of JTI Taiwan's CSR policy while at the same time maintaining effective working relationships with all beneficiaries. The job holder will also be responsible for the development and implementation of JTI Taiwan's internal communications strategy, effectively communicating the organization’s vision, mission, values and business priorities to cultivate a sense of community and foster a culture that supports and drives behaviours aligned with our Company strategy.



  • CSR: Manage the strategy and implementation of JTI Taiwan’s nationwide CSR programmes, plan and manage CSR events designed to engage with employees and external stakeholders while also providing opportunities for employee volunteering; manage and establish CSR relationships with main beneficiaries; maintain reporting/inspection procedures to achieve agreed outcomes and deliver real change and impact to enhance inclusiveness in the community.
  • Internal Communications: Develop and execute internal communications through managing JTI Taiwan’s internal communications channels including the corporate intranet, together with content generation for business updates, speech writing, and production of a portfolio of in-house publications; manage JTI Taiwan’s Leadership Communications initiative; localize Company narrative into meaningful and relevant messages for employees in JTI Taiwan and support local GM with execution.
  • Corporate Identity: Serve as guardian of the JTI Brand, ensuring all materials produced or developed in the market follow the corporate identity guidelines (including writing standards, tone of voice and visual design); coach team and colleagues in the appropriate application of the guidelines; manage third party suppliers, design agencies, and printers to align with the JTI Brand and to agreed timelines.
  • Cross-Function Collaboration: Cross-functional collaboration and communications support across the Company as and when needed.
  • People Management: Supervise, motivate and provide constructive feedback to team members.


Qualifications & Experience

  • A university degree in communications, PR, journalism, or related subject.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Communications Specialist.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and/or experience in an NGO or in a community service function would be desirable.
  • Experience in event management would be a plus.
  • Experience in an international environment or multinational company ideally FMCG would also be desirable.


Skills, Competencies & Languages

  • Business Level English speaking and writing required.
  • Functionally native Chinese speaking and writing required.
  • Must have a passion for writing with proof of actual articles/editorial developed.
  • Excellent communications skills, a true team player with the confidence and ability to communicate at all levels within the business and with key external partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Project management knowledge and experience essential.
  • Excellent attention to details and good control of work schedules are musts.
