Reporting to: Manufacturing Services Manager
Duty Post: Tainan, Taiwan
WAREHOUSE MANAGER
The incumbent is responsible for respective warehouse management on the Tainan factory premises. Ensures correctness and accuracy of timely material transfers within managed warehouses, controls, and timely implements all material transfers according to the plan.
As the Warehouse Manager you will:
- Responsibility for assigned warehouse and tasks dedicated to this warehouse in the Tainan location.
- Lead and control warehouse transfers promptly; ensure proper material movements. Proper work management is needed so that all loaded and unloaded materials are transferred to production departments in a timely manner and handled according to the plan.
- Lead the team of warehouse employees and ensure resources for the managed warehouse.
- Calculate working hours, and ensure their employees are trained as forklift drivers.
- Motivate subordinate employees and ensure their development.
- Continuous work on improvements, work conditions, and efficiency optimization of managed warehouses. Dedication to continuous improvement of factory processes.
- Partnership with all factory departments, organization of work in the warehouses based on all the incoming information, and the way that targets are met on a daily basis.
- Ensure that all data registered in the warehousing system are equal to the physical quantity in the warehouse. Conduct all required registrations according to the law of material movements and stored material quantity, as well as all other registrations, lists, schedules, reports, etc. Follow all the rules connected with documentation flow and way of storing them.
- Ensure health and safety according to ISO/EHS, 5S3R processes and programs, identify the hazards, assess the risks, and ensure that control measures are implemented in order to maintain a healthy and safe workplace under their supervision.
- Compliance to the JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards and implement requirements. Ensure that employees under their supervision receive appropriate health and safety training and required qualifications.
- Ensure that supervised employees always demonstrate safe behavior, never violate health and safety rules, report incidents and near misses, and report and eliminate identified unsafe conditions and behaviors. Actively demonstrate commitment to health and safety, lead by example, and take immediate steps to correct unsafe workplace conditions or behaviors.
- Responsible for Production factor standards for all installed production machines, equipment, and shop floor according to ISO/EHS, 5S3R processes and programs
Requirements:
- University Degree preferably in Logistics or Warehouse Management
- At least 3 to 10 years of Warehouse Management experience in a manufacturing setting
- Expertise in people management
- Excellent Mandarin and English communication skills
