What this role is about – Purpose

This Strategic and Digital Insight Manager plays a key role in driving data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will lead projects to provide insights for internal operations and deeper understanding of categories and consumers. You will focus on pricing, trade insights, competitive intelligence, multi-category understanding, and digital initiatives.

What you will do – Responsibilities

Pricing Insights

  • Provide reliable, timely, and actionable pricing insights to support internal operations and planning on a monthly basis, ensuring data accuracy and availability. Validate data against external sources (e.g., competitive intelligence, retail audit) to maintain consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to conduct monthly data cleaning, dashboard updates, and trend validation, ensuring that key stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date pricing data.
  • Lead research efforts focusing on pricing, including competitive price monitoring and price elasticity studies, ensuring that stakeholders and internal tools are updated on consumer preferences and behaviors in response to the latest pricing dynamics.

Trade Insights

  • Enhance trade understanding across the organization by delivering comprehensive insights from both internal and external data sources, leading all research efforts related to trade analysis from start to finish.
  • Manage the full cycle of quarterly internal surveys on trade insights, including survey setup (materials updates, field force group briefings), data processing, and analysis. Integrate insights from other sources to provide a well-rounded view of internal performance.
  • Spearhead the trade segmentation project rollout, providing clear guidance on retailer engagement strategies.

Multi-Category Understanding

  • Support business planning and portfolio management by integrating insights from traditional research methods and non-traditional sources (e.g., social listening, online panels) to deepen multi-category understanding.
  • Lead all research initiatives related to multi-category understanding, both locally and globally, to help the organization track shifts in usage behavior and their impact on the business.
  • Drive research on exploratory initiatives (e.g., new brands, new nicotine categories), including qualitative studies, concept tests, product tests, and pre/post-launch evaluations.
  • Transform research findings into actionable insights to inform data-driven product portfolio strategies.

Knowledge Repository Management

  • Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge repository containing all market research data, competitive intelligence, and macroeconomic indicators (e.g., government data).
  • Manage communications for all data and foresight initiatives, ensuring that key stakeholders are informed of developments and their implications for business operations and strategy.

Stakeholder and Project Management

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify key business challenges and develop solutions, tools, and analyses that drive growth strategies through actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Independently manage or support all research activities, from study design, project briefs, and questionnaire development to data accuracy, analysis, reporting, and coordination with external agencies.
  • Ensure that strategic insights projects align with business goals, proactively managing milestones and addressing potential issues with stakeholders.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support the development of direct reports in analysis, report writing, business/commercial understanding, and problem-solving.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as budget tracking, preparation of internal documents (contracts, project briefs, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and closure reports), and other assigned responsibilities.

Who we are looking for – Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Social Sciences or any other related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for this position.
  • At least 8 years of work experience in market research and data analytics, currently in a manager position (or senior analyst position) from any market research agency or FMCG industry
