Digital Workplace Manager (GSM Manager)
Global Software Management group (GSM) is a Global IT workplace solutions implementation and operational team. It provides centralized deployment and management services for end user device platform (Windows), productivity and collaboration stack based on Microsoft 365 Apps and core business applications (SAP GUI, TME, etc.) on all corporate JT/JTI workstations (PC workstations, sales tablets, virtual PCs) and as well as on all mobile devices (iOS, Androids). GSM provides its services worldwide to all market and factory locations in a consistent and cost-efficient manner and ensures the alignment and adherence of all JT/JTI end-users’ workstations to Global IT Workplace standards. GSM group is part of Digital Workplace team which belongs to Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) group in Global IT.
The incumbent is part of GSM team. He/she is responsible for:
- Providing JTI markets and factories worldwide with high quality workplace software management services to answer the changing business requirements and needs.
- Supporting and maintaining JTI corporate workplace software image and ensuring the smooth roll-out of global and local business applications throughout JTI markets.
- Providing 3rd level support for all digital workplace related issues in scope of GSM team services and manages technical escalations to vendors.
He/she will work in tight cooperation with other technical architecture teams inside Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) group: DMS, ICS, NCC and MFO IT teams at the markets. The incumbent is responsible to stay abreast of evolving technology and keep management aware of new trends and technology and how it could be incorporated as part of the global software management framework.
What will you do?
- Provide the implementation of Global workplace standards among all JT/JTI workstations worldwide.
- Provide the high quality evaluation and testing of all Global workplace solutions in line with the testing plan.
- Test, package, deploy and maintain JTI business applications, security patches and service packs on client workstations across all JTI markets.
- Provide on-going high-quality 3rd level support for all digital workplace related issues in scope of GSM team services and technical escalations to 3rd party software anf hardware vendors upon the need.
- 'Provide on-going GSM team related operation tasks processing within the defined KPI SLA targets for: individual & mass software deployments, software packages development, regular client desktop and mobile platform updates, regular secuirty patches deployments, mobile apps publishing and related 3rd level support incidents / problems resolution.
- Provide the efficient proactive client workplace monitoring and maintenance to deliver the maximum uptime and availability of client workplace devices.
- Actively contribute to the development of new JTI global workplace standards. Work together with Technical Architecture teams to define and maintain JTI corporate workplace software standards.
- Personal development. Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and proficiency in order to constantly improve quality of work and promote innovation.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related fields
- Solid IT technical background (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or equivalent work experience, Network & Telecommunications)
- Experience with implementing complex enterprise IT technical solutions. The advanced skills / knowledge of the modern centralized client management solutions: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Windows Intune, Virtual desktops infrastructure, Mobile apps management. Experience in wide-scale software deployment and management in global multinational environment.
