Reporting to: Logistics Operations Manager

Distribution Specialist

 

The main objective is to have continuous supply of products to all distribution channels. The person will be responsible for fulfilling supply plans and/or sales orders by booking transportation in time for the required delivery dates. This role has to closely coordinate with GBS O2C, warehouse, sales and vendor/s. This position may also perform tasks that may form part of logistics requirements such as Market Returns, Bad Order Disposal, Non-FG, etc. The monitoring of bookings / deliveries will be part of the daily tasks. This shall be the basis of billings from vendor/s which will be reviewed and recognized as expense by performing GR postings in SAP.                                                           
 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Coordinate with GBS O2C, Warehouse, and Vendors to ensure timely fulfillment of sales orders.

  • Ensure zero incidence of non-booked or missed shipments.

  • Liaise with the Sales team as needed, particularly for new accounts or unique customer requirements.

  • Monitor all booked shipments to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries to customers.

  • Review vendor billings to verify alignment with approved contract rates.

  • Perform Goods Receipt (GR) postings in SAP to accurately record logistics expenses.

  • File and manage claims to vendors as necessary, ensuring proper documentation and resolution tracking.

  • Manage and consolidate Proof of Delivery (POD) reports for documentation and tracking purposes.

  • Recruit, motivate, and support the professional development of direct and indirect team members.

  • Provide oversight and performance management for third-party logistics partners, including any in-house personnel assigned to JTIP.

 

 

What we look for:

 

  • Possesses a Degree in BS Industrial / Management Engineering or Business Administration preferably under Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance or equivalent.
  • College Graduate or equivalent years of experience in Supply Chain (end to end) or Transport Management is an advantage.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in logistics / warehousing and transportation or supply chain (end to end) in a sales and distribution environment of a FMCG industry. 
  • Experience in Third Party Logistics is an advantage.
  • An employee of a principal company, working with 3PL, working with Truckers, Forwarders and Port Operators is an advantage.        
  • Knowledge in warehousing or logistics operations.
  • Must be computer literate (excel, word and powerpoint at the least).
  • SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
