Drive Actionable business models by using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations, and driving the appropriate business data governance within the SI & BI team group, providing expertise and support for data access, data quality and data management across the market projects.
Should act as the business owner of the Market applications within SI&BI team, ensuring data harmonization within the different projects as well as architecture alignment with business requirements, scalability and sustainability of data procedures. 


The candidate should be capable of navigating and using data to discover tasks that could be automated, prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modelling and using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action in order to address business issues through usage of data science and Machine learning tools.




    • Assess Data Quality (preparation, cleaning, and further model training) and use advanced computerised models to extract the data needed;

    • Analyze and model on big datasets - translating big data into actionable recommendations through implementation of data science techniques ;

    • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

    • Propose solution for business problems by applying machine learning techniques and algorithms, and automatize analysis of consumer information or other deep learning data; explore their patterns and recommend business activities.



    • Ownership and maintenance of the market data strategy from the business perspective. 

    • Responsable on modelling and driving appropriately data structures for reporting availability.

    • Analyze and model, with IT support and external vendors, SI&BI projects data retrieval, data quality and data structure within the different market projects.



    •  Ensure a proper usage of a centralized tool to store data used to create ad-hoc and recurrent reports within the SI&BI for: 
           o TME Data
           o Data bought from external providers (Nielsen, Geodata, MBI, etc)
           o Internal commonly shared data



    • Cooperates with the SIBI team members on data-related activities



  • Degree in quantitative/computational field (Engineering/Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Science)
  • At least 3+ years proven experience acquired Data Science / Data Analytics preferrably in FMCG. 
  • Fluency in Data Science modelling and tools, Machine Learning, Data access (SQL) and programming languages (Python, R, C++)
  • Ability to turn big amount of data into articulated and easy to understand insights and business recommendations (Statistical knowledge, Financial and Business accumen)
  • Mine and analyze data from JTI databases to drive optimization and improvement on Sales Route to market, marketing techniques and business strategies
  • Expertise on Databases and Datawarehouse business modelling and navigation (SQL language)
  • Good understanding on Analytical processing tools and data lake integration for market projects
  • Deep understanding of Data Science platforms (Dataiku, Knime, etc.)  and Machine Learning
  • Ability to build trust and collaboration across multifunctional teams 
  • Good Command of English Language and able to build trust and collaboration across multifunctional teams. 
  • Ability to liase with external business partners on project implementation.
