Consumer Insight Specialist

As the Consumer Insight Specialist at JTI Philippines, you will play a crucial role in supporting the analysis of consumer behavior and market trends for the entire nicotine category. Your goal will be to create detailed reports and dashboards, conduct data analysis, and collaborate with various departments to provide actionable insights. Responsibilities:

Report & Analysis:

  • Support the team in developing a solid understanding of the Nicotine consumers across categories, profiling them, analyzing their journey, usage/switching patterns, and purchase behavior to identify growth opportunities for JTI products.
  • Monitor the competition across different channels, including conventional retail and e-commerce, to determine market trends and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Enhance data sources by researching and including external information on consumer trends, and consolidate insights from different data sources.
  • Develop and deliver customized reports and dashboards on Retail Audit, Tracker, and consumer research to provide actionable insights to team members.
  • Conduct necessary analyses as required, guaranteeing prompt and precise reporting to all involved parties.

 

Project Support:

  • Assist in identifying key business challenges and designing necessary solutions, tools, and analyses to help drive brand growth strategies and plans through actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Provide support for research requirements, including designing studies, creating project briefs, designing questionnaires, ensuring data accuracy, and conducting data analysis.
  • Ensure quality delivery of projects by working closely with brand teams and external agencies as needed.
  • Assist in aligning strategic insights projects with business requirements, and provide support for completing project milestones while raising any potential issues to relevant individuals.

 

Strategic Business Support

  • Collaborate with different departments, including Marketing & Sales, to provide data-driven custom analysis and research support.
  • Support special projects, such as expanding consumer segmentation and territory classification for the whole Nicotine category.
  • Assist in establishing an online panel of whole Nicotine users to address research needs.
  • Collaborate with the Brand team to develop consumer/business insights from the internal online ecosystem.

 

Who we are looking for - Requirements

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or any other related field is preferred. However, we also consider equivalent working experience as an acceptable qualification for this position.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in market research and data analytics, currently in a manager position (or senior analyst position) from any market research agency or FMCG industry.
  • Tobacco/retail industry experience is a plus.
  • Solid foundation in research methodologies and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge/experience with analyzing digital/social media platforms is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative individual with diverse cultural background, adept at handling various levels of professionals across different functions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in other data visualization/analytics tools is a plus.
