Innovation Planning Specialist (Packaging Project Management)

This role is responsible for managing projects related to new products, packaging innovations, and local bundle initiatives in the Philippine market that fall outside the standard PLM process. The goal is to ensure these projects are planned and driven effectively, in line with company policies, and tailored to local market needs—helping drive the growth of JTI products.

The role works closely with cross-functional teams including Brand, Supply and Demand Planning, Finance, Sales, Legal, Warehouse, Tollpackers, and Packaging Suppliers to ensure smooth and successful project implementation.

As an Innovation Planning Specialist, you will:

1. Lead and manage end-to-end projects for new products and packaging innovations not covered by the standard PLM process.
2. Prioritize and supervise project timelines, ensuring all key teams are aligned and advised of progress and issues.
3. Coordinate with suppliers and toll packers to assess feasibility, run trials, and develop packaging materials.
4. Handle contracts with toll packers and suppliers, ensuring terms are clear, followed, and updated as needed.
5. Support local market needs by managing bundle governance and working with cross-functional teams on product innovation projects.
6. Follow safety rules at all times and help promote a safe and compliant working environment. 

Who are we looking for:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Work Experience: At least 10–12 years of experience in supply chain and project management, preferably in the tobacco or FMCG industry.
• Language Skills: Proficient in English, with strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SAP, especially for project and supply chain processes
• Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
• Functional & Leadership Skills:

• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
• Experience in contract management and supplier negotiations
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives
• Analytical approach with a focus on process improvement and execution excellence
• Familiarity with local market dynamics and regulatory requirements in the Philippines
