The Intelligent Automation Platform Owner  has overall ownership of Intelligent Automation platform (RPA / Smart Workflow, OCR / ICR, NLP/NLG/NLU, AI & M/C Learning), defines the platform strategy, roadmap, standards and is accountable for the delivery & operational support of the Intelligent Automation platform & solutions. The position works closely with IT BTS Teams (initially BTS GBS  Intelligent Automation Lead), Enterprise Architecture, Technology Innovation Team, Information Security, with responsibility for delivering Intelligent Automation solutions.



What will you do?

  • Strategy & Governance
    • Support the definition & ensure adherence to the Intelligent Automation Strategy
    • Define Intelligent Automation policies, procedures & standards
    • Act as a gatekeeper & owner of Intelligent Automation platforms ensuring effective management & maintenance of the Intelligent Automation platforms
    • Ensure efficient & effective delivery of Intelligent Automation architecture, development & operational support (meeting all defined KPIs / SLAs)
  • Architecture:
    • Architect the solution delivery and continuous improvement of Intelligent Automation solutions to support JTI business processes by:
      - Providing expertise in the area of Intelligent Automation solutions
      - Regularly meeting with key stakeholders, including management, to gather requirements and drive them towards increased simplification and integration.
      - Validating and translating intelligent automation functional requirements into technical specifications and ensuring adherence with Intelligent Automation best practices
      - Ensuring architectural & development consistency & standardization across the Intelligent Automation platforms
      - Ensuring compliance with Intelligent Automation best practices and standards, 
      - Developing & maintain Intelligent Automation product roadmaps in accordance with JTI business & IT Strategy
      - Regularly meeting with vendor product & service provider teams to keep up-to-date with latest roadmaps & innovation
      - Participating in review meetings of JTI business processes with key stakeholders
      - Ensuring that Intelligent Automation solutions addresses the business needs
      - Ensuring documentation is maintained & kept up-to-date
  • Innovation and continuous improvement:
    • Stay abreast of Intelligent Automation trends and new technologies that will support the improvement & automation of business processes
    • Perform regular review of new Intelligent Automation platform capabilities
    • Demonstrate initiative in maintaining current awareness of technological and related     business trends and liaising with JTI community and consultants / partners
    • Ensure on-going evolution of Intelligent Automation platforms to consistently meet the business evolution and needs. That includes: the liaison with key stakeholders in BTS & GBS to gather requirements, the elaboration of business cases and analysis and close collaboration with 3rd party solution providers
  • Delivery:
    • Driving the actual realization of technical solution by managing the work of either internal or external technical resources (as needed).
    • Identify - Support in identification of use cases and (if necessary) coordinate/supervise related activities provided by 3rd party​
    • Qualify - Support in technical assessment of use case complexity, implications on IT system accesses required & overall technical considerations. Clarify IT risk / compliance questions/risks​
    • Plan - Support in planning of use case implementation / resource management and appropriate engagement with 3rd party provider​
    • Build - Manage 3rd party operational support & implementation service activities as an interface between internal & external parties​. Support with clarification of technical issues during the build phase​
  • Project & Team Management:
    • Ensure effective and timely communication on the project progress related to developments in assigned area. Where Project Management is specifically concerned, ensure development & management of detailed project plans for the area under responsibility, informing of any potential delays which may compromise the implementation calendar. 
    • Manage the processes of requests, approval, specification, development, documentation and testing; coordinate between on-site and off-site team related to processes in assigned area; coordinates IT-related issue with global IT and other teams
  • Business Partnership:
    • The incumbent leads the promotion of Intelligent Automation in conjunction with Business Technology Services, Enterprise Architecture & Information Security Teams. Target customer groups are primarily Global Business Services (GBS) & Corporate Functions but can be extended to include markets, factories, leaf origins, external service providers, Global Service Desk (GSD) & IT function where appropriate. Lead the resolution of issues with stakeholders using influencing skills to negotiate mutually agreeable decisions regarding the deliverables and security design.
    • Act as the Intelligent Automation Architecture primary point of contact for stakeholders; explain and illustrate the need to balance business and automation requirements versus business benefits
  • Service Delivery: Service Delivery responsibilities span across vendor selection and management. This includes:
    • Appropriate due diligence, business justification and partner selection
    • Contract creation & management ensuring all legal aspects are covered from a service delivery perspective including (but not limited to) Disaster Recovery (Recovery Time Objective; Recovery Point Objective), Data Protection, Service Level Agreements, Service Delivery Penalty, Clauses, audit entitlements; termination clauses, data access, payment terms,
    • Coordination of solution evaluation with necessary JTI IT teams (Enterprise architecture, IT Security, Network, Data center, etc.)
    • Measuring and reporting of service delivery KPIs invoking penalties where required
    • Management of open issues and enhancements with 3rd party product team
    • Holding regular service delivery reviews 


Who are we looking for?

  • A Bachelor's degree holder in Information Technology or any related field
  • Has 5-10 years working experience in Agile, DevOps, ITIL, SAP/ERP systems and core automation technologies (e.g., RPA, NLP/NLG, OCR/ICR, AI, & M/C Learning)
  • Experience in working with Managed Service Providers
  • Has Technical architecture experience​
  • Has experience in Project Management
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Data Center technologies, application solutions, and 3rd party’s environment
  • Has the ability to assess, analyze & manage Intelligent Automation opportunities & solutions 
  • Ability in establishing governance for Intelligent Automation across the enterprise
  • Good understanding of technologies stack used in JTI (SAP, ServiceNow & Microsoft)
  • Good understanding of core automation technologies
  • Amenable to work on morning or mid shift schedule
  • Can work in McKinley, Taguig (temporary WFH setup)
