Compensation & Benefits Specialist


The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for developing, recommending and analyzing the Salaries and Fringes, as well as in charge of analyzing and submitting on the budgetary accounting and financial reports such as accruals and headcount. This person is also responsible for understanding and administering the rewards and benefits of GBS Manila employees in a timely and quality manner according to the SLA standards. In collaboration with the GBS Rewards and the Global Rewards Team


What will you do?


  • You will ensure efficient delivery of Compensation and Benefits to all stakeholders in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.
    - Compensation administration
       * Annual Salary Review: cycles setup and coordination
       * Incentives administration (both Corporate and Local) in compensation platform, SAP HR      
       * Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) 
    - Benefits administration
       * Enrolment into various corporate/local Benefit Plans 
       * Act as liaison for GBS team, benefits providers and identified 3rd party providers 
    - Address employee Comp and Ben related queries (benefit plans eligibility and enrolment/changes/cancellations; producing compensation/insurance, etc.) 
    - Acting as internal Rewards advisor to employees
  • You will act as single point of contact for compensation and benefits data/info to all stakeholders 
  • You will prepare budget reports and monitoring expenditure/Annual Plan/Latest Estimate (LE)/Out Look (OL)
  • Propose and submit to salaries and fringes / labor benefit costs for the annual budget and monitor the variances of actual expenditure on salaries and fringes versus the approved budget/plan
  • You will respond to requests for trend, actual accrual compensation and benefits expenditure
  • You will be in charge of IA / STA expenses and reporting including coordination with host/home entity for service agreement and recharges requirements
  •  You will ensure quality of compensation and benefits data available for the decision-making process


Who are we looking for?


  • A Bachelor / University Degree in Finance, Human Resource or any related business courses
  • At least 5 years of solid experience in employee compensation and benefits particular to budget management & local payroll (statutory benefits, headcount, finance) in a multinational company
  • Knowledgeable in compensation process and benefits portfolio and has good understanding of compensation principles and local employee benefits plans
  • Preferably with hands-on SAP HR experience. Lean / 6-Sigma methodology knowledge is a plus
  • Proven team player, can effectively communicate with various organizational functions
  • Knowledgeable on the use of MS Office
