What is the purpose of this position?


As the Enterprise Integration Architect, you will define solution architecture for global, regional and local Digital & IT change initiatives where EA team is involved, providing specialised application, integration and general systems knowledge and ensuring compliance. You will promote and socialise Digital & IT Integration Strategy, supporting tools and patterns  and contribute to strategy reference models with new technologies and approaches  in response to new requirements and technology changes. You are to liaise with JTI strategic vendors to understand and share relevant technology opportunities such as integration. You will support peer solution architects for domain specific integration requirements and peer enterprise architects in defining the strategic positionning integration tools & capabilities. FInally, you will act as part of the Enterprise Architect to undertake planning, governance, Impact analysis and other relevant activities to support strategic evolution of JTI Architecture.


What will you do?


1) Strategic Architecture Planning for JTI Digital solutions 

  • Contribute to the  development and maintenance of JTI technology/solution architecture roadmap considering industry trends, business requirements, strategic portfolio of upcoming initiatves and technology roadmaps
  • Establish strong working relationship with IT Teams and whose technologies are used in JTI application landscape
  • Leverage the relationship to ensure strong support for JTI and influence the vendor's product development and direction 
  • Ensure that solution architecture is aligned with the principles and directions established by the enterprise architecture

2) Provide solution architecture services for Digital Projects

  • Participate as advisor and support the projects to ensure that technology selection is aligned with the standards
  • Provide a balanced architecture evaluation considering Project delivery constraints and the sustainibility of the solution for the business, if necessary under supervision of Senior EA
  • Sign-off non-standard or pilot technology use in specific projects
  • Propose innovative solutions to address digital sales opportunities, leveraging existing or new solutions
  • Provide proactive feedback to BTS process team leads, project sponsors and top management

3) Define and maintain architecture standards for Digital platforms

  • Etablish and maintain consistent Architecture standards for Digital solutions at JTI
  • Architecture standards should consider solution platform, integration, UX and BI requirements, security and data management 
  • Standards should be created in alignment with JTI IT standards, vendor and technology constraints, business requirements, development and operations processes
  • Promote, communicate the architecture standards on regular basis 
  • Work with BTS & GDC to ensure compliance to the standards
  • Propose potential optimizations to simplify the architecture 

4)Strengthen long term relationship with Strategic and Key vendors

  • Establish strong working relationship with M&S vendor technical and product management teams as well other 3rd parties whose systems interface with M&S solutions
  • Leverage the relationship to ensure strong support for JTI and obtain influence over future designs of new enhancements and functionalities.

5) Innovation leadership

  • Stay up-to-date with the technolgy and industry trends.
  • Leverage Proof Of Concepts to evaluate new technologies.
  • Anticipate issues and drawbacks before starting a real implementation.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise through learning, conferences, customer focus groups.
  • Work closely with BTS leads to gather the business demand for new solutions, technologies. 
  • Manage the introduction of new technologies (in close cooperation with other solutions/application architects and other IT teams) and the transition of new selected technologies/solutions to the project or application delivery team.

6) Enterprise Architcture Support

  • Support the definition and implementation of the EA frameworks.  
  • Promote the EA framework to the key IT and Business stakeholders. 


Who are we looking for?

  • B.Sc. degree in IT or equivalent                                            
  • 5+ years of overall experience in the IT discipline in multi-national environment (administrative, development and business applications), as software and/or system engineering during which to have one or more of the following specialist experience is desirable 
    • 2+ years project management and IT/Business process management experience or,   
    • 2+ years experience in managing integration development  for enterprise level programs
    • 3+ year experience in cloud and digital technologies 
  • Experience in Solution Architecture tasks and methods, good understanding of enterprise and solution architecture concepts and standards, Archimate knowledge a nice plus           
  • Demonstrates Digital solution knowledge and has communication skills.
  • Ability to work at the enterprise level, analysing from a conceptual and logical perspective and understanding the global end-to-end view. 
  • Takes responsability for understanding and aligning Vendors' roadmaps and JTI business requirements. 
  • Possesses and leverages planning skills, can multi-task between a number of limited complexity assignments and  interested in architecturally supporting concurrent  Digital Systems projects. 
  • Utilizes verbal and written communication skills to work with all levels of the organization across JTI (IT Management, GTC, GDC, BTS and Business key users/power users, consultants and CRM vendor) to carry out timely review of the Project solution designs for  Digital initiatives. 
  • Good ERP/ CRM/ Digital Sales ecosystem knowledge,  expertise in underlying technology trends like cloud, BI, mobility, integration, big data, security.
  • Working understanding of enterprise and solution architecture concepts and standards, leverage knowledge within EA team to apply relevant concepts
  • Good inter-personal communication, negotiation and presentation skills. 
  • Excellent analytical skills, structured and results-driven way of working, and ability to get things done following guidelines and in compliance with governance requirementsHighly motivated, hardworking individual with desire to continually learn new skills and improve.
