WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

 

The incumbent is responsible for delivering on key growth strategies and initiatives of the various brands in the market that will provide the greatest value to consumers. As part of the Agile team, he will bring speed, consumer-centric thinking, facilitation, and innovation to ensure optimum delivery of identified brand priorities. He takes lead in translating, activating, and adjusting brand plans, based on a strong and holistic understanding of the brand, category, consumer, and touchpoints/channels, to help drive competitive advantage and strengthen position in the market. He will champion the agile mindset and ways of working to help the organization respond to opportunities in a fast and relevant manner. He will closely collaborate with Brand leads, Field Marketing, Digital, and other stakeholders including external agencies to ensure that projects are executed timely, efficiently, effectively, and consistently.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the translation and execution of brand strategies into consumer-relevant and impactful initiatives that can be implemented quickly across touchpoints/territories consistently. This includes (1) Driving innovative thinking and an iterative approach of test and learn, based on a strong understanding of the market, consumer, channel dynamics, as well as internal capabilities and requirements, and (2) Ensuring adherence to brand positioning, equity, and guidelines across all executions. 

  • Ensure quality and timely implementation of identified brand projects by driving stakeholder collaboration and management (both internal and external such as agencies), proper prioritization, self-organization, and an agile approach to solving challenges. This may include PLM-related projects (NPD, portfolio initiatives), as well as creative development and content creation via KVs, playbooks, toolkits.

  • Assist in the development of brand strategies and plans that will deliver sustainable long-term growth based on knowledge of what works and what doesn't across key consumer touchpoints including Digital, Activations, and Trade, as well as brand health drivers. Help translate global assets and toolkits into fresh, creative, and locally relevant executions that can support opportunities identified by Field Marketing, Sales, and Digital. 

  • Supports brand operations (i.e. budget management, S&OP process) through responsible resource management and planning for assigned projects, which includes working within budgets, providing inputs to demand forecasts, and monitoring supply production and write-offs. 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree is required, preferably in a Marketing/business-related course
  • At least 3 to 5 years of brand management experience in FMCG or large multinational companies.
  • Project management experience is a must
  • Experienced in new product development and introduction, insight, project management, and brand positioning/communications development. 
  • Proven team player and an effective communicator
  • Adept at data analysis and creative problem-solving. Able to handle multiple and complex projects.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Windows application
  • Familiarity with Nielsen Answers is a plus.
