WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

 

Act as the main point of contact to translate business requirements into technology requirements for the Digital, Data Science, BI and SI driven models. The position is responsible for running, maintaining, and enhancing the data lake containing any relevant data useful for the market projects (both internal and external, structured and unstructured). Should support the team's  projects on running and maintaining the enterprise data management framework, ensuring the flow complies with the JTI IT standards. The position should act as the SPOC for the SIBI and Digital team regarding data management, maintenance, query extraction, and should  proactively collaborate with the Market IT , Trade & Channel Planning and Digital , ensuring uniqueness of data validity and easy retrieval of data collected from different data sources and applications. 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consumer/Customer Data Platform Strategy maintenance and execution:

    • Act as the data owner / administrator to ensure the Consumer/Customer Data strategy for the market fulfills the Marketing and Sales needs by

      • Closely collaborating with Product Digital Team from data collection perspective on consumer and customer side

      • Closely collaborating with Master Data Management team and Commercial Planning team on data integration from customer side

      • Ensuring the data framework is accessible in an efficient way from SI&BI team to generate analytics and Insights

 

  • Customer and Consumer data-driven tools maintenance

    • Ensure correct data flows, data quality and availability on the Digital tools and act as the link between consumer and customer requirements and IT technical execution. 

    • Run and maintain the data pillar of the market trade application, ensuring execution of the tool is up to date according to the M&S business requirements and meeting the changing needs of the evolving business.

 

  • Data Governance and Data Harmonization:

    • Assess Data Quality (preparation, cleaning, transformation) and use advanced computerized models to support the team on the extraction of the data needed;

      • Ensure a proper usage of a centralized tool to store data used to create ad-hoc and recurrent reports within the SI&BI for:

        • TME Data

        • Data bought from external providers (Nielsen, Geodata, MBI, etc)

        • Internal commonly shared data

          • Analyze and maintain, with IT support and external vendors, Business, SI and BI projects data retrieval, data quality and data structure within the different market projects.

  •  Knowledge:

    • Cooperates with the Digital, SIBI and Channel Planning team members on data-related activities 

    • Partnering with SIBI team to turn abstract information from data analyses into appealing and understandable presentations and scorecards that improve business insights

    • Support the team on building custom reports and dashboards specific to the M&S centralized data model

 

Functional Skills

  • Foundation in Systems Development: Understand the system development lifecycle, project requirements, design and test techniques;

  • Data Modelling and Design: Act as the CRM and Data Lake administrator, including expertise in SQL and databases navigation;

  • Data Technologies understanding: Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts, ensuring the utilization of latest available technologies within the company;

  • Data Harmonization and Data Dictionary maintenance: Maintain and update the Data Lake Dictionary, ensuring it is up to date as of any  change; Act  as the SPOC for terms and definition clarification for any information available in the Data Lake;

  • Data Extraction: Ability to analyze and extract ad-hoc data requirements and present statistical information  to the stakeholders.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (Computer Science / Engineering) or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years proven experience acquired in JTI and/or in previous company (preferrable in FMCG industry) in technology, computer science,  Database  management.

  • Fluency in CRM Management, Data execution tools, Data access (SQL) and programming languages (Python, R, C++).

  • Knowledge of Azure cloud computing service package and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Power BI). Knowledge on Power App, Power Automate are a plus

  • Fluency in Data modelling tools, Data access (SQL) and programming languages (Python, R, C++).

  • Knowledge of Azure cloud computing service package and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Power BI, Power App, Power Automate)
