Business Analytics Manager
The Business Analytics Manager is one of three key roles driving data democracy by ensuring robust performance data is accessible across the organization.
Reporting to the Data Science and Analytics Group Manager and collaborating with the Data and Foresight Director, this role develops dashboards, conducts market analyses, and supports stakeholders with timely, accurate insights.
Given the 48 live reports currently managed by the Data & Foresight team and the ambition to enhance data democracy across P&C and Finance, the three managers will collaborate on interconnected and consistent dashboard initiatives, while maintaining clear assignments to deepen specializations and ownership of specific business stakeholders. This ensures efficiency and a holistic view of the Philippines' operations.
The Manager also works cross-functionally with CBU field teams, M&S, IT, and vendors, promoting data literacy and optimizing processes for data integrity and efficiency. Combining analytical expertise and strategic collaboration, the Manager ensures alignment with business goals and fosters innovation.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Data Analysis and Reporting
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of defined data analyses to identify trends and actionable insights, directly influencing business strategies.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, ensuring insights align with organizational objectives.
- Establish reporting frameworks to standardize KPI monitoring and promote consistent decision-making across departments.
Advanced Dashboard Development and Oversight
- Own the design, optimization, and strategic development of dashboards to provide accurate, real-time insights while maintaining data security standards.
- Oversee the development and execution of SQL scripts, ensuring robust data pipelines and high-quality output.
- Take accountability for user access management and dashboard performance monitoring, driving continual improvements in quality and efficiency.
- Ensure the consistency and interconnectivity of the dashboard with other data enbalers and other sets of dashboard
Market Analysis Leadership
- Lead the preparation and execution of assigned market analyses by directing the creation and optimization of SQL queries to extract and prepare data sets.
- Oversee the creation of compelling visualizations using Power BI, Excel, or PowerPoint, ensuring insights are presented clearly and aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set priorities, ensuring market analyses deliver maximum value to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration, Management, and Training
- For assigned analytics initiative, act as the primary liaison for Regional Sales Directors, Field Marketing Directors, and other senior stakeholders, ensuring analytics solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Lead and conduct stakeholder training sessions to build proficiency in dashboard functionality and data interpretation, empowering them to leverage analytics tools effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships to foster trust, improve engagement, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Take full responsibility for managing the relationship with the BI Consultant Vendor, including monitoring deliverables, setting performance standards, and driving alignment with organizational goals."
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Spearhead efforts to review and refine analytical processes, SQL scripts, and dashboards, driving efficiency and enhancing data quality, in close collaboration with local, regional & global IT functions
- Collaborate with Channel Planning, CBU directors, Area Sales managers and rest of D&F team to enhance the reliability and scalability of analytics platforms.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure analytics systems evolve with changing business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in analytical field (Mathematical, Statistics, Economy) or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Finance, or related analytical functions, preferably in FMCG.
- Proven expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Azure and programming languages is a plus.
- Experience with consumer insights and industry knowledge (e.g., tobacco or similar sectors) is highly advantageous."
