To strengthen our team in the area of SRA, we are looking for a Material Compliance Manager - Regulatory Affairs (m/f/d) in permanent employment. 


Your job mission:

The SRA Material Assessment Agile Manager provides technical guidance to support SRA’s responsibility for ensuring that ingredients and materials used in the manufacture of JTI products comply with internal JTI guidelines and all applicable local market regulations. The role operates under the direction of the SRA Material Assessment Agile Team Director and works in close collaboration with SRA teams and JTI R&D. In addition, the position supports cross‑functional initiatives and projects within the Material Assessment Pillar as required.

Your tasks: 

  • Interpret and apply global technical and scientific regulations related to products, ingredients, and materials across different markets
  • Collaborate closely with SRA, R&D, and Legal teams (HQ and local markets) to monitor and assess regulatory developments
  • Conduct compliance assessments for new ingredients and materials, and support product launches in new markets
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ingredient and material data in internal databases to support regulatory reporting and registrations
  • Identify supplier-related risks from an SRA perspective and provide guidance on mitigation measures; represent SRA requirements in supplier interactions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and execute material and product testing, ensuring alignment with regulatory and safety requirements; critically evaluate internal and external test reports
  • Support material qualification processes, including SRA input in PLM and change management workflows, ensuring consistency and integrity of product specifications

 
Your profile: 

  • University degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Toxicology or similar)
  • Several years of experience in regulatory affairs, product compliance, or material/ingredient assessment
  • Strong background in material and product testing, with the ability to interpret and challenge scientific data
  • Solid understanding of global regulatory frameworks for consumer products and materials
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and product development, including evaluation of test data (e.g., chemical analysis, migration studies, product safety testing)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ideally experience with ERP or database systems (e.g., SAP, SQL)
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
