Global Engineering Manager - Sustainable Technology (m/f/d) 

In this role, you will drive innovation, efficiency, safety, and sustainability by building a pipeline of scalable technologies that anticipate future needs and enhance our products. You will deliver value‑added global technical solutions across the end‑to‑end Global Supply Chain, from Leaf through Finished Goods warehousing.

Position:

As the Technology Excellence Manager in the Global Engineering Excellence Department, you will:

• Develop and maintain global engineering standards, integrating sustainability requirements (energy efficiency, CO₂ reduction, resource optimization, circularity)

• Support global standardization of technical solutions across equipment, infrastructure, and logistics

• Scout, evaluate, and support deployment of emerging sustainable engineering technologies and solutions

• Manage OEM and key vendor interfaces, supporting collaboration on sustainable solutions, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

• Ensure safety, regulatory, and ESG compliance through defined standards and Feedback-to-Design processes

• Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned technologies, supporting sites and functions to ensure business continuity

• Manage and support global engineering projects using IWS Initiative Management and/or Agile methodologies, delivering against KPIs

• Coach and support engineers around the globe to strengthen sustainability awareness and technical capabilities across the organization
  

Requirements:

• STEM University Degree, with preference to Engineering.

• 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment

• Proven experience in the implementation of sustainable technology solutions (machinery and/or manufacturing infrastructure)

• Experience with IWS or similar systems is an advantage

• Fluency in English

• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with different audiences

• Experience in Supplier Relationship Management

• Experience in MS Office; CAD (reading/drawing); SAP is an advantage
