Statutory Tax Manager
You will be responsible for maintaining and supervising accounting records of the Company (or Companies) in conformity with Turkish statutory regulations, IFRS, JTI policies & procedures and JSOX control requirements.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to Global Tax Manager Turkiye+ to ensure timely and accurate preparation/submission of tax returns, preparation of transfer pricing reports and documents, submission of tax packs and reports to headquarter, submission of financials and reporting to related authorities and parties. You will also lead and coordinate tax audits, follow-up updates in local tax legislations, and give guidance to related parties regarding accounting and tax queries.
The position will be based in Izmir and report to Tax Manager Turkiye.
Position:
As the Statutory Tax Manager, for Turkiye Entities (Manufacturing, Marketing and Leaf Entities), you will be responsible:
- Ensure compliance with Turkish Statutory, IFRS, and JTI policies & procedures in the areas of accounting and reporting. Execute JSOX requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise the preparation of Statutory legal books and reports.
- Coordinate Tax audits and Legal Authority requirements.
- Manage monthly tax declarations (VAT, Excise Tax, Withholding, Stamp Tax) accurately as per Turkish Statutory requirements.
- Take active role in the preparation of Transfer Pricing reports and documentation.
- Provide effective support to related test activities, including regression & period end tests, e-transformation activities, SAP upgrades and Global Project Implementations.
- Ensure accurate management for month-end and year-end financial closing activities in compliance with Turkish Statutory & JTI Policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Advanced level of MS Office applications and integrated accounting software
- SAP and/or Power BI knowledge is an asset
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
