Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic M&P

Position Purpose:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for executing mechanical maintenance and technical cleaning of production machinery, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of machinery performance and efficiency. The role also supports the implementation of IWS principles to enhance operational excellence. 

What Will You Do:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of filter manufacturing equipment (KDF, Arenco, Filter Shooter) as per schedules while troubleshooting mechanical issues, executing timely repairs, and supporting root cause analysis for recurring failures.
• Conduct technical cleaning, mechanical adjustments, and calibrations to maintain optimal equipment condition while supporting setup, changeover, and startup activities to minimize mechanical losses and ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement improvement actions to enhance OEE while proactively identifying and addressing performance gaps in filter equipment operations.
• Support IWS pillar activities (Planned Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement) by participating in root cause analysis, standard development (CILT/CLTI), and implementing solutions to improve mechanical reliability, productivity, and safety.
• Collaborate with production teams by providing technical guidance, training operators on routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and operating machinery when required to ensure production continuity.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities using SAP or relevant systems while ensuring adherence to 5S3R practices, safety standards, quality requirements, and internal policies.
• Comply with JTI EHS and Quality policies and procedures.

We Expect from You:

• Graduate of Engineering or Diploma (or equivalent) in Engineering from an accredited institute.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanic in the tobacco or related industry, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Mechanical systems & maintenance practices, Preventive & corrective maintenance, IWS tools & methodologies, SAP or maintenance systems, Safety & quality standards, Basic MS Office skills, Troubleshooting & problem solving, Team collaboration & discipline.
