Job Title: Focke Operator
Reporting: Cell Lead
Location: Tongi, Gazipur

Position Purpose:

The Focke Operator is responsible for operating packing machines efficiently to ensure timely production of high-quality finished goods. This role contributes to achieving production targets at the lowest cost while adhering to JTI's quality, safety, and environmental standards. The position also supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Work System (IWS) and fosters a culture of operational excellence.

What Will You Do:

Machine Operation & Production: Operate assigned Focke (packer) machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure seamless production of finished goods as per JTI specifications. Manage material feeding, changeovers, and adjustments to meet output targets. Monitor and report production metrics, including waste, downtime, and material usage.

Cleaning and Basic Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of machinery in alignment with JTI's standards. Conduct basic machine adjustments to maintain smooth operations; collaborate with mechanics to replace consumables and worn-out parts. Ensure the equipment and surrounding workspace adhere to 5S3R standards.

Troubleshooting & Collaboration: Identify and resolve first-level errors and faults using automation tools and visualizations without compromising safety or product quality. Escalate complex issues to mechanics/electricians and provide detailed handovers for effective troubleshooting.

Quality Management & Continuous Improvement: Ensure products meet JTI's quality benchmarks by conducting regular inspections and monitoring production parameters. Sort defective products and reduce waste per JTI operational standards. Actively participate in Integrated Work System (IWS) initiatives, CI processes, and the development of equipment standards to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to JTI’s safety standards, quality and Code of Conduct to maintain a safe and compliant work environment with the EHS Objective & Target: 0 incident and BOS. Identify and report potential safety hazards, unsafe conditions, and near misses to supervisors; propose or implement corrective actions where applicable.

IWS Integration: Support and actively engage in IWS initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IWS tools and methodologies. Contribute to the creation and refinement of machine standards as part of the IWS framework.

Other (if applicable): Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or line manager to support the team and production requirements.

We Expect from You:

• Diploma (or equivalent) in engineering preferred from an accredited institute.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a machine operator in a production environment
• Basic PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
• English language for effective verbal and written communication.
