Legal Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic professional to join the team.
In this role, employee will be responsible for proactive legal support and facilitation to JTI Turon Inc. LLC and protect the rights and legitimate interests of the Company. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, supplemental agreements, and other legal documents related to the Company’s business activities. Represent and protect the Company’s rights and interests before stakeholders, courts, public authorities, officials, and counterparties. Collaborate with the Cluster Legal Team to provide comprehensive legal support, engage external counsel as required, and work with the Cluster Legal Director to effectively manage external legal expenditure in Uzbekistan.
Administer legal documents, including:
• Ensure the security of documents received by the Legal Department;
• Maintain records of documents held by the Legal Department;
• Receive, register, and verify documents submitted to the Legal Department;
• Examine the validity of documents stored in the Company’s archives as part of an expert commission;
• Inform other Legal Department employees about the composition and content of documents held by the Legal Department;
Requirements:
- Law University degree.
At least 3 (three) years of experience as a lawyer in a foreign or international company on a similar position. - Excellent UZ Legislation knowledge.
- Confident user of MS Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel) and Legislation database.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with several tasks and projects effectively.
- Stress resilience.
- Local tobacco regulations knowledge.
- Abiility to calculate and take risks.
- Business solution-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Awareness of the company’s overall strategy and the department’s business objectives to ensure effective job performance.
