Logistics Officer

The incumbent will demonstrate strong flexibility and adaptability, collaborating with teams while managing inventory and transportation from the Tainan factory to market warehouses, as well as overseeing finished goods destruction. Key responsibilities include monitoring inventory and planning inbound shipments, maintaining high service levels with transportation vendors, performing inventory reconciliation and annual stock counts, supporting quality investigations, and coordinating destruction operations. The incumbent will also assist the manager and department with ad-hoc tasks, projects, and rotational assignments as needed.

As Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for the following:

Ensure adequate truck capacity and resolve transportation issues promptly to prevent out-of-stock situations or excess inventory.
  • Maintain high service standards by regularly reviewing vendor KPIs to ensure operational performance meets expectations. Assess vendor vehicle capabilities and flexibility, and monitor driver training to ensure compliance with JTI’s inbound shipment procedures and requirements.
  • Reconcile inventory between JTI (SAP & Logistics System) and 3rd-party warehouse providers by addressing discrepancies and completing month-end inventory reports. Coordinate annual stock counts, ensuring the process is accurate and completed on schedule.
  • Confirm items and quantities for destruction, prepare and submit destruction applications, and carry out on-site destruction operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with Customs and the National Taxation Bureau to ensure the process is compliant and runs smoothly.
  • Provide support to the manager and department by handling ad-hoc tasks, projects, and rotational assignments as required.
