Category Manager Services & IT
The incumbent will be responsible for managing local procurement activities for the assigned category, ensuring alignment with Cluster/Global strategies and identifying alternatives when needed. This includes acting as liaison with the Cluster Category Manager, driving cost optimization, implementing category plans, fostering stakeholder partnerships, managing supplier relationships, and upholding compliance and ethical standards
As a Category Manager Services & IT, you will:
- Manages local supplier relationships and strategic contracts to ensure sustainable, efficient procurement and supply chain operations. Drives innovation by challenging existing practices, aligning with global strategies, and promoting competitive, sustainable initiatives with key suppliers.
- Leads local procurement for a designated business category, implementing Cluster Category Manager strategies and ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
- Delivers procurement KPIs and savings targets through strategic sourcing and effective supplier bidding in collaboration with business partners. Implements category strategies locally, monitors performance, and drives cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Builds strong partnerships with key stakeholders through a customer-focused approach, ensuring strategic alignment and effective communication across procurement, business units, and suppliers. Proactively prevents supply issues, resolves problems promptly, and takes on additional tasks while consistently demonstrating core behaviors.
- Analyzes category trends, applies advanced procurement practices, and proactively mitigates supply risks through market research and sourcing innovative suppliers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
- At least 3 years of experience in Indirect Procurement within the FMCG sector
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and negotiation
- Strong capabilities in vendor and contract management
- Effective storytelling and communication skills
- Fluency in both Chinese and English
