Category Manager - M&S
The incumbent is responsible for procurement activities within the appointed business category at their designated location. They serve as the category liaison for the Cluster Category Manager, implement strategies established at the cluster level, provide clear direction for the assigned category, and ensure close collaboration with all local stakeholders
As a Category Manager - M&S, you will:
- Effectively manages local supplier relationships and strategic sourcing to ensure sustainable, efficient procurement operations while driving innovation and alignment with global directives to enhance JTI’s competitive advantage.
- Leads local supplier management and strategic sourcing to ensure sustainable, efficient supply, drive innovation, and align with global procurement goals to enhance business value.
- Delivers procurement targets and savings through strategic sourcing, supplier bidding, and local strategy execution, while driving cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Builds strong, customer-focused partnerships with key stakeholders to align procurement strategy with business priorities, ensure effective communication, prevent supply issues, and support additional projects as assigned.
- Leverages category insights and market trends to optimize procurement processes, mitigate supply risks, and proactively source innovative suppliers to secure the best conditions for the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience in Indirect Procurement within FMCG sector
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using various AI tools is a plus
- Demonstrated strength in negotiation and vendor management skills
