Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and maintenance costs, managing spare parts, and ensuring production equipment is well maintained through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. The role also leads the maintenance team, coordinates with Production, Engineering, Quality, Safety, suppliers, and project stakeholders, and ensures maintenance resources and budgets support efficient factory operations.
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure production equipment in the Making, Packing, and Primary areas operates efficiently and reliably to support production goals. Drive equipment improvements with cross-functional teams to increase efficiency and maintain product quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, manpower, and repair activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, equipment records, and ensure timely troubleshooting with technical specialists.
- Develop and manage the spare parts strategy to balance parts availability with inventory costs while meeting maintenance budgets. Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure maintenance targets and operational requirements are achieved.
- Lead factory maintenance performance by improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, controlling costs, and driving the Progressive Maintenance program. Support new equipment installation, planned maintenance, and cross-functional project execution while promoting continuous improvement.
- Develop maintenance team capabilities through coaching, performance management, and standardized planning routines. Foster collaboration across Production, Engineering, and Quality to eliminate recurring equipment failures and improve overall maintenance performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including IWS and the Progressive Maintenance Pillar, while completing additional projects and assignments as required. Contribute to operational excellence through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental standards by identifying workplace hazards, following established procedures, and promoting safe work practices. Report incidents and unsafe conditions promptly while supporting continuous improvements to workplace safety.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and manage the performance of team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in production equipment maintenance, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, mechanical engineering, and equipment repair processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP (or similar maintenance/ERP systems).
- Strong administrative, planning, and team management skills with the ability to coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
