Market Supply Chain Director

 

The position is established to lead the end to end market supply chain strategy and operations, from demand and supply planning, supply operations, warehousing and logistics requirements.   Develop and drive delivery of market supply chain KPIs to measure effectiveness of supply chain operations and cost efficiency.  Facilitate the engagement of logistics and warehouse space providers who will deliver Sales Operation requirements with the most efficient cost and the highest degree of effectiveness. 

 

As the Regional Supply Chain IT Director APAC, you will:

  • Lead demand and supply planning by partnering with M&S and Finance to ensure accurate volume forecasting and timely, precise reporting to Global Planning.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels, including forestalling stocks, to prevent out-of-stock situations while avoiding excessive inventory and write-offs.
  • Oversee warehousing operations across all locations, ensuring alignment with JTI policies and the maintenance of efficient, high-quality storage conditions, including DSO and DP warehouses.
  • Drive continuous improvement in warehousing, including the development of good practices, KPI delivery for 3rd-party logistics partners, and strategies that respond to evolving business needs.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring cost-efficient factory-to-customer delivery flows and seamless stock replenishment, in close collaboration with Sales Operations.
  • Ensure supply operations readiness by coordinating with factories and CMA to meet production requirements and by upholding all regulatory and audit-related obligations.
  • Oversee tax stamp processes, ensuring timely ordering, reporting, and coordination with Finance/Tax, while minimizing defects or losses through close partnership with factories.
  • Strengthen inventory performance through effective warehouse inventory management, aiming for minimal bad stocks and near-zero variances
  • Lead and develop the supply chain team, providing direction, coaching, and support to enhance capability and performance across direct and indirect reports.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in a multinational environment, with deep expertise in business operations analysis and supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and proven experience in establishing and implementing cross-functional business processes.
  • Demonstrated capability in communication, negotiation, analytical thinking, and complex problem-solving.
  • Solid supply chain background with strong business and financial acumen, including end-to-end process knowledge.
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop teams effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
