Investment Management and Engagement Manager

The Investment Management & Engagement Manager supports the development, execution, and management of GBS investment strategies and demand portfolio prioritization to achieve long-term GBS growth and effectiveness. Reporting to the Director, the manager assists in overseeing all aspects of GBS investments in demand management per assigned function, including identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, ensuring optimal returns, and balancing risk and strategic objectives. This role involves engaging with relevant functional stakeholders to ensure proper strategic alignment and support the Director in driving the overall investment strategy.

 

As Investment Management and Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Investment Portfolio Management. Manage the GBS investment portfolio and maintain portfolio health for assigned functions by tracking benefits realization per approved GBS plans and business cases in line with KPIs signed off by each project. Implement and maintain a comprehensive GBS investment roadmap aligned with JTI functional and GBS strategies and long-term objectives. Ensure reporting on the portfolio for assigned functions to provide visibility and enable decision-making, and provide consolidated financial and headcount input for approved demand/projects to Finance and P&C to support financial planning processes.                         
  • Demand Management. Collect demand for GBS for assigned functions, including scope, projects, and headcount, and execute an effective demand management process to ingest new demand and manage ongoing demand. Support business case development and promote a solid ROI mindset through constructive feedback. Manage the demand pre-prioritization process with all relevant demand submitters and GBS stakeholders, and provide consolidated reporting on benefits tracking for GBS demand portfolio benefits, flagging risks and issues and proposing mitigating actions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement. Engage with relevant stakeholders to understand functional strategies and priorities and collaborate to translate these into GBS requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for GBS demand and portfolio management for assigned functions, addressing concerns and providing transparent communication on investment outcomes and plans.
  • Best Practice. Stay up-to-date on portfolio management developments and trends, including benchmarking best practices. Create proposals and implement agreed-upon improvements within the area of responsibility
  • Digitalization. In close collaboration with D&IT, implement effective GBS Demand Management tools and solutions, such as Demand Management in MyJTI ServiceNow and projects portfolio dashboards, and ensure continuous improvement and digitalization of the process to drive its effectiveness.

 

What We’re Looking For

You ideally have:

  • University degree; Master's in business or finance or comparable education/experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment demand management and prioritization, business case evaluation and due diligence in a multinational environment and GBS set up.
  • Strong experience with change and stakeholder management.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal
  • Basic knowledge of SAP business processes and good knowledge of Demand Management tools (ServiceNow); working understanding of the technological landscape
  • Excellent people and communication skills; experience in working and influencing in a matrix organization.
  • Clear strategic business mindset and ability to translate it into tangible outcomes; open-minded, proactive, autonomous, with an agile mindset
