Innovation Planning Manager (Packaging Development)
As the Innovation Planning Manager, you will lead the development and execution of new product and packaging initiatives tailored to the Philippine market. This role focuses on projects outside the standard PLM process, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, aligned with company policies, and responsive to local consumer needs. You will be the key driver of packaging innovation, working cross-functionally to bring new ideas to life and support the growth of JTI’s product portfolio.
As an Innovation Planning Manager, you will:
- Lead end-to-end project management for packaging development and new product initiatives not covered by the PLM process. Act as the Center of Excellence for innovation and subcontracting purchase orders.
- Organize and lead project kick-off meetings, track timelines, and ensure alignment across key stakeholders including Brand, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Warehouse, Tollpackers, and Suppliers.
- Conduct feasibility studies with tollpackers, manage packaging trials, and develop mock-ups. Ensure packaging solutions meet quality, cost, and operational standards.
- Own and manage contracts with tollpackers and packaging suppliers. Ensure compliance, negotiate terms, and oversee amendments in collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
- Support local market needs by managing bundle governance and leading cross-functional teams in SAP QA or TME environments for product innovation projects .
- Champion quality standards across all stages of packaging development—from supplier qualification to final distribution—ensuring product integrity and continuous improvement
- Guide and develop team members (if applicable), and manage ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by leadership.
Who are we looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Work Experience: At 8-10 years of experience in supply chain, packaging development and project management in the FMCG industry.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, with strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

- Proficient in SAP, especially for project and supply chain processes
- Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tool
- Functional & Leadership Skills:

- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience in contract management and supplier negotiations
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives
- Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and execution excellence
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and regulatory requirements in the Philippines
