Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist (Temporary)

 

The Financial Planning & Analysis team supports multiple JTI markets with various management reporting activities. These include, but are not limited to, the preparation, computation, and submission of accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications; preparation of monthly reports to support variance analysis (such as volume, marketing, operating expenses, performance, profitability, capex, and depreciation); supporting markets during different planning cycles throughout the year; preparation and submission of requests for Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Center master data maintenance; and other ad hoc activities or projects as needed and assigned.

 

As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist in the area of Accounting & Finance, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing financial and technical support in planning, forecasting, and performance management processes for markets under GBS. The role includes preparing monthly financial reports, managing transactional processes such as accruals and allocations, and fostering strong collaboration within the team and across GBS Manila and other GBS teams.
  • Preparing documentation and reports for FP&A processes transitioned to GBS, supporting planning cycles, and handling journal entries for assigned markets. The role also contributes to process improvements and automation initiatives while providing ad hoc support and helping the team achieve monthly KPI targets.
  • Focuses on maintaining strong SAP and business process knowledge to ensure professionalism and efficiency. The role supports and proposes process improvements, collaborates on impact analysis, assists with user acceptance testing, and drives enhancements within the area of responsibility.
  • Support and contribute to global and local projects focused on enhancements, standardization, optimization, and automation, including system improvements and other initiatives within the scope of responsibility.
  • Building trust and collaboration with assigned markets, GBS Manila, and the wider JTI organization. The role supports team activities and training, assists other GBS groups within the area of responsibility, and handles ad hoc tasks delegated by the manager or expert.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of finance experience, preferably in FP&A and within a multinational FMCG company; shared services experience is an advantage. Willing to work on a night shift schedule.
  • Strong knowledge of finance principles – including management reporting, planning, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Experience with financial systems (SAP, BW/BPC/Analysis, TM1) and migration activities is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, data mining, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, organized, and results-oriented mindset; able to work independently or collaboratively within a matrix organization while adapting to change and pursuing professional growth.
